His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson uploaded his videos to YouTube when he was 13 years old, and was using the handle "MrBeast6000". He began with Let's Plays, and "videos that estimate how rich other YouTubers were" content. After his 2017 "Counting to 100,000" video garnered tens of thousands of views within a couple of days, Donaldson became a YouTube sensation. His first content consisted of Let's Plays and videos that predicted the worth of other YouTubers. Donaldson brought in a few old friends to help him manage the expanding brand once it was launched. The MrBeast channel had 60 subscribers as of 2022. It reached 100 million subscribers on July 28th, 2022.
